Brieanna Monique Pennington, affectionately known as Brie, 25 of Painesville, Ohio passed away peacefully after a prolonged illness surrounded by family and friends transitioning from her earthly home to her heavenly home on September 19, 2023. Brieanna was born January 3, 1998, to Barbara Falkner and Derek Pennington.

Brieanna resided in Painesville, Ohio most of her life, until she left to attend college. Brieanna was as intelligent as she was beautiful graduating from Thomas W. Harvey High School in the top 15% of her class. In August of 2016 Brieanna began her college career at Baldwin Wallace University, obtaining her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology degree in May of 2020. While at Baldwin Wallace University Brie was a proud member of the Voices of Praise Gospel Choir and many other campus organizations.

Brieanna was a member of Union Community Church where as a youth she was an active member of the Junior Usher Board, Praise Dance Ministry and, the Youth Choir.

Devastated by the loss of such a beautiful person, Brieanna leaves to cherish her memory: her mother Barbara Falkner (Roger); father Derek Pennington (Sonya); Grandfather Randolph Pennington; brothers Jerimie Acree (Vonnise) and Jeron Hall; Aunt Tammra Acree; Nephew, Mason Acree; Bonus siblings AJ Hall (Michelle); Roger Falkner III; Kourtney Falkner; and Gianna Falkner; Godmothers Joanne Mason and Tosche Coffee-Stevens a host of relatives to include cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles along with many friends.

Brieanna was proceeded in death by her grandmothers Mary Merriweather and Eunice Pennington.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the service at 11:00 am Saturday September 30, 2023 at New Hope Baptist Church 428 W. Jackson St., Painesville, Ohio where Pastor Maurice R. Coffee will preside.
