Ernest Craig Edmondson

With love and gratitude, we remember Ernest C. Edmondson, who passed away on March 5, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic Hospital while receiving hospice care after a long illness. He was 72 years old.

Ernest was born on July 16, 1953, and lived a full life enjoying each day as it came. Known by many as a gentle and kind soul, Ernest had a heart for helping others and was always willing to lend a hand wherever it was needed. His kindness, humility, and caring nature touched the lives of many people throughout the years.

Ernest valued family and relationships deeply. Though he never married and did not have children of his own, he held a special place in the lives of those around him and was loved by many who considered him an important part of their lives. He will be remembered for his warm spirit, thoughtful gestures, sense of humor, and the simple yet meaningful ways he showed care for others.

Ernest was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Lee Granville; his father, William Henry Edmondson; and his brothers, Hardy Ingram, Jr., Michael Edmondson, and George “Butchie” Granville.

He is survived by his loving siblings: Kevin Edmondson, Clarence Edmondson (Donna), Billy Edmondson (Carolyn), Barbara Edmondson Gordon (Alfred), and Sabrina Edmondson. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will cherish his memory and the moments they shared with him.

Ernest’s life reminds us that a meaningful legacy is not measured by wealth or recognition, but by the kindness we show and the lives we touch. Those who knew him will remember his gentle and jovial presence and the many ways he helped others throughout his life.

While Ernest’s earthly journey has come to an end, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and he will be deeply missed.
