Jerome Jackson Obituary
Jerome Leon Jackson was born to the late Johnnie Jackson and the late Ruth Rhone on
February 19, 1950, in Coy, Alabama.
Jerome accepted Christ at an early age. He became a member of Nu Vision Baptist Church in
June 2026. He attended and graduated from Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. Jerome
was a truck driver for over 40 years, retiring as an owner-operator from Victor Trucking
Company. He loved teaching his brothers-in-law, cousins, nephews and grandsons how to drive
trucks.
Jerome was always there if anyone needed a ride in his pickup truck or needed him to be their
moving truck. He would take his grandkids anywhere they wanted to go and loved attending
their events. He enjoyed playing his numbers, buying scratch-offs, and cooking his famous
bacon. Jerome could usually be found sitting and talking on the porch on Eddy Road or in his
kitchen wearing his big fuzzy robe watching The First 48, Cheaters, The Steve Wilkos Show,
Fatal Attraction, or For My Man.
Jerome went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. He leaves to cherish his
memory: his children, Jay, India, and Ilasha; grandchildren, JaDon, Kayla, Isyss, Kristian,
Virshawn Jr., King, Devin, Demarion, and Donovan; sisters, Shana, Sharnae, Patricia, Grace,
Gaynell, and Rosalind; brothers, Henry, James, David Jr., Lawrence, Frankie, Alphene, Amos
Jr., Anthony, and Dallas; his mother-in-law, Rosie Webster; and former wife and friend, Gunnitha
Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Jackson; his mother, Ruth Rhone; his
father-in-law, Amos Webster Sr.; his brother, Craig; and his sister, Beverly.
