Joycelyn Marie Sanders

Joycelyn Marie Sanders, lovingly known to everyone "Mookey," was born on Saturday, February i, 1969, to Lem
Sanders Jr. and Yvonne L. Sanders in Cleveland, Ohio. From an early age, it was clear that Mookey was someone special. She was outgoing, fun-loving, rambunctious, and- there is truly no better word-powerful in so many ways. She
attended St. Catherine's Elementary School and later Erieview High
School, where she built lasting friendships. Everyone knew Mookey was fiercely loyal to her family and friends. If you threatened one of them, you threatened her She was a force to be reckoned with. Her love for her children
and grandchildren was deep, fierce, and unwavering. Mookey was outspoken and unapologetically honest. She cherished long phone conversations with friends and family that turned into hours of laughter, reminiscing, truth, and shared history. The moment she said "hello," you knew it was
her-her voice was unmistakable. Although she faced health challenges throughout her adult life, she never allowed that to stop her from playing Monopoly on her phone or loving and laughing with her
family. Her presence will be profoundly missed.
