KENNETH “ROOSTER” ALAN RAY II was born on August 17, 1981, to Antionette Ray and Kenneth Ray. He was the youngest of the family, but he proved himself to be the protector of everybody he loved. Rooster attended Collinwood High School and grew up on the east side where he would meet and create lifelong bonds with his Lakeshore family. Rooster was a great artist and baseball player in his youth and throughout his years had a love for pit bulls and training dogs. He was known for his raspy voice and great debating. He was intelligent and had quite the arsenal of eclectic knowledge and some of the most random facts. Although he was as lion hearted as they come, he had a deathly fear of insects. He was a professional model in his own mind and had a knack for amateur photography. He was a sports fanatic and could be heard every Sunday yelling and barking, “Here we go, Brownies, here we go!” Rooster leaves to cherish his memory: his loving parents, Antionette Ray and Kenneth Ray; his wife, Lamarra Wiley; his seven children, Antionyse Jackson-Ray, Anissa Ray-Bell, Kenneth Ray III, Brielle Ray, Kassius Ray, Noah Williams-Ray, and Khia Ray; his sisters, Kimberly Ray and Kacie Ray; his brother, Aaron Byrd; and a multitude of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, godchildren, and friends who were like family. He will be missed for his big heart, his over-protecting, his strength and resilience, his humor and the love he showed to his children and family
