Priscilla Teresa Cole was born on January 5, 1958, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Doris Bloodworth and Charles Cole Sr. Born and raised in Cleveland, Priscilla lived a life firmly rooted in faith, family, service, and love. She was a woman of remarkable strength and compassion whose generosity, vibrant spirit, and devotion to others left an enduring impression upon all who were blessed to know her.

From her earliest years, family was at the heart of Priscilla’s life. She shared a special and treasured bond with her beloved aunt, Betty F. Floyd, who held a dear place in her heart. Growing up, Priscilla created many cherished memories alongside her siblings, Charles Cole Jr., Harry Cole (Janie Cole), and Patricia Cole Anderson (Stanley Anderson). Later in life, her family was blessed once again with the addition of her little brother, Donté Cole, whom she loved dearly. These family bonds were strengthened through a lifetime of love, laughter, conversations, gatherings, travels, shared experiences, and countless memories.

Priscilla began her education at Rosedale Elementary School in 1963 and later attended Jane Addams High School from 1972 to 1976, where she proudly graduated. Continuing her pursuit of education, she later attended Columbus State, where she earned her associate degree.

At an early age, Priscilla accepted Christ into her life at Calvary. Her faith became a defining anchor throughout her life, shaping the way she loved, served, gave, and cared for others. She understood that serving the Lord extended far beyond the walls of the church and sought to reflect her faith through compassion and meaningful action.

In 1979, Priscilla entered a beautiful new chapter of life when she married Stephen Horton and welcomed her beloved son, Steven Horton. In 1982, her family grew with the birth of her cherished daughter, Chasity Horton. Her children were among the greatest blessings of her life, and her devotion to family remained central to who she was.

While nurturing her family, Priscilla built a meaningful and accomplished professional life. She dedicated 25 years of service to Cleveland Clinic, where her strong work ethic, commitment, and caring nature were evident throughout her career. Her professional journey reflected the same dedication and perseverance that characterized so many areas of her life.

Beyond her career, Priscilla possessed a genuine heart for service. For many years, she devoted her time and energy to uplifting others within her community. She helped feed individuals experiencing homelessness, volunteered with Ronald McDonald House, and opened her heart and home to women in need, providing a safe and supportive place during difficult seasons of their lives. She also supported the mission of Project 70Forward, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the support and advancement of people with disabilities. Through her volunteer work and community involvement, Priscilla demonstrated a sincere belief in dignity, opportunity, inclusion, and compassionate service. Whether someone needed nourishment, encouragement, advocacy, support, or simply a safe place to turn, she believed in doing what she could to make a meaningful difference.

In time, her role as a mother expanded into one of her most treasured titles—grandmother. Priscilla was blessed with four cherished grandchildren, Decarlo, Mariana, Nehemiah, and Vikhary. She loved them deeply and shared with them countless memories filled with laughter, family trips, celebrations, guidance, and unforgettable moments. Being a grandmother brought tremendous joy to her life, and the love she poured into her grandchildren will continue through generations.

In 2011, Priscilla embraced another significant chapter when she relocated from Cleveland, Ohio, to Charlotte, North Carolina. With courage and determination, she welcomed a new beginning and pursued a career change, becoming a phlebotomist with Atrium Health. This transition reflected her willingness to grow, adapt, and continue caring for others through her work. She remained dedicated to her profession until her retirement from Atrium Health, concluding a remarkable career marked by perseverance and commitment.

Even in a new city, Priscilla’s faith remained a constant guiding force. While living in Charlotte, she attended Elevation Church and continued to live a life grounded in faith and service. Her devotion to the Lord remained evident in the kindness, encouragement, and support she extended to others.

In 2021, Priscilla embraced another joyful chapter when she joined Diva-Lites, a sisterhood and unity group centered on friendship, fellowship, encouragement, and genuine connection. Through Diva-Lites, she formed cherished bonds with a remarkable group of women who became far more than friends—they became sisters.

Together, the Diva-Lites traveled, participated in group activities, celebrated life’s special moments, supported one another, and created lasting memories filled with laughter, adventure, joy, and love. This sisterhood reflected something Priscilla deeply valued throughout her life: meaningful relationships, community, togetherness, and the joy of sharing life with those she loved. Her time with the Diva-Lites brought her companionship, happiness, unforgettable experiences, and a true sense of sisterhood that remained dear to her heart.

Throughout every stage of her life, Priscilla’s personality and presence remained unmistakable. She was strong yet loving, generous, spirited, and never afraid to speak her mind. She treasured time spent with family and friends and made it a priority to be present for the moments that mattered most. She loved traveling and rarely missed an opportunity to take a trip, create new memories, experience something different, and enjoy life alongside those closest to her.

After a life richly lived and a legacy deeply established, Priscilla Teresa Cole departed this life on June 27, 2026. She leaves to cherish her loving memory her beloved aunt, Betty F. Floyd; her loving siblings, Charles Cole Jr., Harry Cole (Janie Cole), Patricia Cole Anderson (Stanley Anderson), and her little brother, Donté Cole; her two beloved children, Steven Horton and Chasity Horton; her cherished grandchildren, Decarlo, Mariana, Nehemiah, and Vikhary; along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, dear friends, her cherished Diva-Lites sisters, church family, and countless individuals whose lives were touched by her presence.

Priscilla was more than a mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful servant of God, a devoted mother, a loving grandmother, a compassionate giver, an advocate, a helper, a traveler, and a source of strength. Her legacy cannot be measured simply by the years she lived, but by the lives she touched, the people she uplifted, the doors she opened, and the love she poured so freely into others.

Her love will continue through her children and grandchildren. Her compassion will live on through the lives of those she served. Her faith will remain an example to those who knew her. Her family will carry her wisdom, her laughter, her strength, and her memory wherever life takes them.
