Thomas Chaney Jr. was born on November 25, 1966, and departed this life on May 17, 2026. He gave his life to Christ at an early age and carried his faith with him throughout his life.

Thomas graduated from Bedford High School, where he distinguished himself academically, athletically, and musically. His hard work and dedication earned him a triple scholarship for music, basketball, and academic excellence to Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of his studies, Thomas relocated to Oakland, California where he began a successful career in finance and insurance.

Thomas later answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Coast Guard, where he faithfully served for two years and received an honorable discharge. Thomas was previously married to Wendy Chaney, and from this union two beloved sons were born, Forrest and Theo, who were the pride and joy of his life.

Thomas dedicated more than 20 years of service to Chase Bank⁠, where through hard work, leadership, and commitment, he advanced to the position of Branch Manager. Thomas had a deep love for music of all genres and was an exceptionally talented saxophone player. He had the voice of an angel and brought joy to many through his love of music. He became a gourmet cook and enjoyed spending time at local diners and pubs. Thomas was also a world traveler who appreciated experiencing different cultures and trying a variety of cultural cuisines from around the world.

Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, Eddie and Roberta Cambridge. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents, Evelyn Cambridge Celestin (Edmond) and Thomas Chaney (Betty); his brother, Darryl Chaney; half-brother, Dennis Pendleton (Angela); His cherished sons, Forrest and Theo Chaney; Along with extended family members, Thomas leaves to mourn many beloved cousins, and cherished friends whose lives were touched by his kindness, humor, and spirit.

Thomas will forever be remembered for his intelligence, charisma, love of music, adventurous spirit, and the lasting impression he made on all who knew and loved him.
