On April 17, 2025 My sister’s husband George passed away at home. Eric received the call and advised he was conducting a service and provided a time to come. Because my brother-in-love wanted a direct cremation we asked if he could come later in order to give the family an opportunity to come to the house to view him. Eric completely understood and came early evening.

Eric entered the home extending sincere condolences to my sister, the children, siblings and all who were outside and in n the house. The gentle and compassionate way he removed George from the home showed both honor and respect. EJW Funeral home has never disappointed a family I’ve referred to them. In the midst of the pieces of grief, the loss of a loved one creates, EJW Funeral home definitely provides the family with peace and an upscale experience.

Planning a funeral is a difficult time but Eric made it easier. He was compassionate and explained everything to us. I had a tight deadline because I wanted my mother’s funeral that Saturday. Despite having a tight deadline for the funeral, he provided examples of how to write an obituary and guided me through everything. I was impressed by his professionalism and genuine care. When I saw my mother at her 1st viewing, I had the biggest smile. I didn’t think that was possible because I just lost my mother and knew my life would be different without her. My mother looked beautiful and I wanted to say “ Alexa, play Johnny Gill “My,My,My” because my mother looked good in her red dress. The day of my mother’s funeral the staff Shelley, Fred, and David were amazing. I work in the deathcare field now and I want to give every family I serve the same feeling Eric gave me with the first viewing of my mother. I'm grateful to Eric and the staff for their outstanding work. It took me a while to write this review, but I wanted to express my heartfelt appreciation.
